Widow Lin’s Famine Fortune

During the famine, Lin Huiyun, a widow, and her mother-in-law had their grain rations seized by her brother-in-law. While digging for wild vegetables in the mountains, Lin Huiyun found Liu Baoni—a girl blessed with the extraordinary luck of a koi fish. Later, she took in two more children: Liu Zhuangzhuang, a boy with immense strength, and Liu Ximei, a girl who was a walking jinx. With her exquisite cooking skills and by leveraging the three children’s unique talents, she not only built up her family’s fortune but also led the villagers through the famine to a better life.
