Blurred Lines

Jiang Ling’s husband, Zhou Hua, was surprised when his wife brought home a shy friend—Qiu Yu, who had recently returned from studying abroad. At 28, Qiu Yu had never had a boyfriend; having spent her life immersed in her studies, she was incredibly nervous and timid around men, unable to engage in even the most basic conversation with them. Hoping to help her friend "break out of her shell," Jiang Ling made a bold request of her husband: she asked the experienced Zhou Hua to guide Qiu Yu and help her discover the pleasures of intimacy. Though initially hesitant, Zhou Hua—encouraged by his wife and sensing a hidden longing within Qiu Yu—decided to step in and help.
